2022 Summer Tournaments
With the COVID-19 lockdowns now thankfully in the past, the club was able to take part in its first full summer of of outdoor tournaments in a while. Many club members played their first tournaments this summer which was great to see.
Wick - 11th/12th June
The club entered a single mixed team into the tournament. The team evolved over the weekend as players came and went as available and was a mix of SW, local and junior players. Following the first day's volleyball the team had won 3 matches but missed out on the cup competition. On the Sunday the team were unbeaten and making them plate winners.
Whitefield - 23rd/24th July
This was the most popular tournament with the club entering the women's team and SW and local league men's teams as well as club juniors playing in one of the SW u17 teams entered.
The women's team finished equal 3rd in Division 1, Yeovil SW finished plate semi-finalists, Yeovolley 18th and our juniors won the Men's Division 3 plate in their u17 SW team having beaten both of the YVC teams on the way!
Salisbury Tournanment - 6th/7th August
The club entered a single mixed team into the main 6s tournament and a team into the junior competition as well as entries into the pairs competition. Following 2 days of sun-soaked volleyball the club came away with a juniors runners up trophy and plate runners up trophy
